Application
Probe Positioners hold a probe in positioner for PCB testing, The probe Positioner connects to a probe through a probe adapter that connects the probe to the probe arm of the probe positioner.
The probe is attached and positioned vertical to the test board, it should not be at an angle. The XYZ control knobs are used to move and place the probe over and onto the test pads. The Theta control on the side of the straight arm of the positioner, is used in conjunction with the Y control to planarize the probe tips so they are planer to the height of both test pads. This procedure assures both probe tips make contact with the test pads at the same time. This is the first procedure you perform with the probe system when starting a probing project.
To make it easy to select a probe positioner for each probe, we provide below the recommended probes and adapters for each probe positioner.
