DVT Solutions LLC is partnering with Giga Connections inc. to apply Gold Plated Conductive Diamond (GPCD) particles to the GigaProbes™ probe tips. This forms a superior, multi-point diamond connection system on the rough surface that can pierce any contaminants on either the DUT leads or test contacts. The resulting contact resistance is fewer than 3 milliohms with no measurable inductance or capacitance after thousands of mate/demate cycles. This controlled impedance material is electrically invisible, requires as little as 10-15 grams contact force, and resists oil and dirt contaminates.
Conductive Diamond Plating has been used in military systems, including super computers and satellites, while meeting all military environmental specifications.

Giga Connections Inc. Conductive diamond plating technology deposits 1000’s of 4-6um Very Sharp, Non-Oxidizing, and Conductive Gold Plated Diamonds on surfaces that need a low impedance, repeatable, high bandwidth compression connection. The conductive diamonds are plated on the GigaProbes to create a ~3 mill ohm, repeatable, high bandwidth connection. When the probe tips to break through surface oxide on the boards copper or tin plated surface it provides a repeatable TDR/T measurement.
